1.1 IDENTIFY WOOD ROT
Before you remove the rot, it is important that you have really found the wood rot spots.
1.2 REMOVE PAINT
Then remove the paint around the location of the wood rot, so that it becomes completely visible.
1.3 REMOVE WOOD ROT
Remove the wood rot with either a chisel, saw or cutter. Remove the wood 2 centimeters past the wood rot to ensure that all wood rot has been removed.
1.4 REMOVE WOOD FIBERS
Do not forget to sand the loose wood fibers
1.5 DRY WOOD
Make sure that the wood is dry.
