The EAZYFIX® Wood Filler is aldo very suitable for these kind of repairs. Better than, for example, ordinary wood glue or adhesive. Make sure you fill at least 5 mm between the new and existing piece of wood with the Wood Filler. This ensures that you retain sufficient elasticity and that it will not crack later due to the effect of the moving wood. All other bondings can not prevent this.

Yes, in principle yes; the EAZYFIX products® are sensitive to UV light and can therefore deteriorate slightly in quality when exposed to UV light for a long time. This is not to say that this should be done within a very short time, but it is ultimately advisable to overpaint them. In addition, a repair that has been overpainted is (almost) invisible and the end result is even better!

During the hardening of the products, an invisible layer is created on top of the repair. Nothing can stick to this layer, so no paint or a new layer of Wood Filler or Surface Filler. This layer must therefore be sanded off. This can be done by hand or by machine. After this, the next layer (eg paint or filler) can be applied perfectly.

In the case of the Wood Filler, there is an (invisible) layer on top of the repair during the hardening process, which has the characteristic that there is almost nothing to stick to it (nothing sticks to it), so no Surface Filler has to be removed. The easiest and quickest method is to sand the surface just as well – by hand or by machine, after which the Surface Filler can be applied quickly and easily. If the Surface Filler has hardened, the same applies again! applying the paint, the Surface Filler must also be sanded again!

The short answer is: it is simply not necessary, you only use the Surface Filler in case of unevenness (in the wood or the earlier repair), screw holes etc. These situations are NOT caused by wood rot and the operation of the wood. Wood will not be affected by moisture and wood rot and will be weakened, and less work is expected at these places.

When you apply Surface Filler on top of the Wood Filler, it is also logical; There is no wood to strengthen, because it is not wood. Make sure you first sand the Wood Filler before applying the Surface Filler!

If in some circumstances you are not convinced that the wood has not been weakened; repair the damage simply with the Wood Hardener and Wood Filler.

All paint systems adhere very well to EAZYFIX® products, and you should ALWAYS ensure that you ALWAYS rub the surface for the paint system.

It may be that the paint needs a little more time to dry. That is why it is advisable to use a quick drying primer for the speed of drying.

This is not very easy to say. The surface is in principle ‘unlimited’. The depth is important. When it is not deeper than 2 cm. Can you do a lot in surface. When it is a deeper hole, we keep the ‘rule of thumb’. When a repair is larger than a fist in volume, it is wise to glue a piece of wood with the EAZYFIX® Premium Wood Filler and the Wood Hardener. Here you must ensure that you keep 5 mm Wood Filler around the wood to absorb the differences in tension in the wood.

The Premium Wood Filler is really for those cases where the weather conditions have caused damage or wood rot. The movement in wood must also be handled by the Wood Filler after the repair. Otherwise the wood rot can arise again. The EAZYFIX® PREMIUM WOOD FILLER can handle these stresses, which means the repair can not crack. The EAZYFIX® Fine Surface Filler is for minor damage or unevenness that has arisen in other ways than tensions. These can be drill or nail holes, or dents in the wood. With the Fine Surface Filler you can finish all irregularities nicely and tightly. After overpainting you will not notice anything!

The drying time or rather the hardening time of the Wood Filler is about 4 hours at 20 ° C. This can take longer if it is cold and go faster when it is hot. The size (thickness) of the repair also affects the speed of drying and curing. The larger or thicker the repair, the FASTER (!) it dries. This is because it is a chemical reaction and does not work with solvent.

The most important thing is that it is dry weather during the repair activity. The temperature is not very important, but please note that it is not warmer than 30 ° C and you never repair in the sun or let the repair harden in the sun. The processing and curing time is then a lot shorter. Obviously, it is also not recommended to carry out the wood rot repair at a temperature below 0 ° C

Wood is always softer in the course of time under the influence of the circumstances. When you use a harder wood filler on a soft surface, you can imagine that this will not be the most durable repair. The EAZYFIX® Premium Wood Hardener ensures that the Wood Filler adheres better to the repair surface. The repair can therefore last up to 30 years or more!

Sure! You can use it perfectly indoors. The possible odor that is released is not harmful to health.
